Turkey Burger Seasoning

  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp chipotle powder
  • 2 tsp ancho chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 3/4 tsp onion powder
  • 3/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne powder

Turkey Burgers

  • 1 finely diced jalapeno w/out stems or seeds
  • 1/4 cup frozen corn
  • 1/4 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1.2 lbs ground turkey Aldi sells in this size, or use 1 lbs
  • 2 tbsp turkey burger seasoning

Accompaniments to Mix & Match

  • 4 slices cheese I like cheddar or pepper jack here.
  • 8 hamburger buns
  • guacamole
  • sliced jalapeno
  • hot sauce

  1. In a small storage bowl, mix all seasoning ingredients well. Set aside.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, blend ground turkey with seasonings and breadcrumbs. Once uniform, fold in corn and jalapeƱo. Form into 8 patties.

  3. Cook burgers in a skillet on medium heat for a few minutes on each side. They tend to puff up, and cooking with the lid on helps ensure the centers are done.

  4. While the burgers are cooking you can mash up a batch of guacamole and gather and toppings you want.

  5. Melt cheese over top. A half of a slice of cheese fits each patty nicely.

  6. Top with desired accompaniments and enjoy!
